World Maritime Day – 26th September 2024
This World Maritime Day, INTERCARGO embraces the theme “Navigating the future: safety first!” In our industry, one injury or loss of life is one too many. We must never forget the inherent risks our seafarers face daily, especially during these disruptive times.
As we pursue crucial environmental goals, we cannot and will not compromise on safety. The transition to new technologies and alternative energy sources presents both opportunities and challenges. INTERCARGO is committed to keeping safety at the forefront as dry bulk shipping navigates these changes.
With the IMO MEPC meeting next week, we advocate for a future where sustainability and safety enhancement go hand in hand. Let’s work together to create a maritime industry that’s not only greener but also safer for all who work in it.
