Athens, January 2nd 2018
Dear Members of Intercargo,
Further to the wishes of our Secretariat, I would like, on behalf of our Vice Chairmen Nicky Pappadakis and Jay Pillay, the Chairman of our Technical Committee Dimitris Fafalios and myself to relay to yourselves and your families our very best wishes for a very happy and prosperous New Year.
Also, we would like to thank you very much for your valuable support and contribution to Intercargo in 2017.
2017 has been a very successful year not only because the dry cargo market seems to have a promising future but also because it has been very successful for the expansion of our Association both in terms of members (189) and entered vessels (1,695).
2018 will certainly prove to be challenging too as discussions and deliberations on various topics will continue. We are looking forward to meaningful enhancement of regulations which can add value to our members, the dry bulk shipping industry and the shipping industry as a whole.
Therefore, we believe that a strong voice is needed to address and express our views on those topics. This can be achieved by your support and participation as well as by expanding our membership further.
With our kind regards
John Platsidakis
Chairman
