Launch of DryBMS portal – INTERCARGO members’ refund of DBCE sign-up fee

Launch of digital portal for DryBMS / Rebate of initial DBCE subscription fee to INTERCARGO members

The Dry Bulk Centre of Excellence (DBCE) officially launched the Dry Bulk Management Standard (DryBMS) portal on August 22nd, 2024.

DryBMS is dedicated to improving safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability across the dry bulk shipping sector and the launch is welcomed by INTERCARGO who, as a founding member of the DBCE, is represented on its Board in conjunction with fellow Board members, BIMCO, ICS and Rightship.

The DBCE is a ground-breaking organisation where ship owners/operators have a secured equal standing with charterers in both governing and developing the DryBMS standard going forward and to take advantage of this opportunity INTERCARGO encourages all ship owners, managers and operators to become subscribers to DBCE and thereby help shape the future of the programme through active participation.

The DryBMS standard and details of the Dry Bulk Centre of Excellence can be found at Home – DBCE.

As an incentive to achieve wider DryBMS proliferation, INTERCARGO members subscribing to DBCE in 2024 can receive a refund of their initial DBCE sign-up fee of £1,000 by simply emailing to info@intercargo.org a request for a refund accompanied by a scanned copy of the DBCE confirmation of payment.

INTERCARGO will subsequently issue a credit note for £1,000 against the 2025 INTERCARGO membership fee which will be reflected in the member’s invoice for the year.
