Outcome of DE 53 (IMO Design and Equipment Sub-committee) on lifeboats and LSA

The 53^rd session of the Design and Equipment Sub-Committee (DE53) met between 22-26 February 2010 and discussed at length issues related to lifeboat hooks and release mechanisms, service/inspection of lifeboats and recovery systems.
